That One Time I Got Married.
Everyone is going to tell you that your wedding day is the best day of your life – and honestly, it was the best day of my life. There is nothing else like having 210 people that you know and love all in the same place celebrating you and your husband. (Maybe you won’t have 210 guests like we did – because that’s a ton of people – but you get the idea! It’s crazy. There is no other feeling like it. The entire day you are on cloud 100 and it’s only the beginning of the life to come. The wedding does go by too fast and you are never going to be ready for it to be over. My wedding now seems like a fairytale to me. Almost like a dream I had that feels way too real.
I did in fact do my own flowers for the wedding. In hind sight, I'd do it again. However, I do not recommend this for the stressful bride. I own a floral design company, so I just could not wrap my head around paying someone to do my flowers. I DID NOT DO FLORALS DAY OF – for those of you who are wondering. That would be nuts. Absolutely, 100% leave the day of your wedding to do nothing but be pampered! Instead I picked flower types that could be arranged and placed on Friday > ready to go Saturday – and it worked! One of my best friends/bridesmaids, Sarey, and both of my sister in laws were there to help me. My father in law built the arch and the cross that can be seen in some of the ceremony photos. The arch was draped in foliage and we used the same foliage in all of the guest’s napkins at the reception. All of the flowers were whites with lots of greens to match the neutral color scheme of the wedding.
I am more than proud to say that my wedding is going to be featured on 100 Layer Cake on April 15, 2016, but shhhh, no one knows yet! You can see the full wedding in Kylie + Josh under the weddings tab. Below are some of the vendors I used for our Santa Barbara / Goleta wedding, enjoy!
